Wortley, which would be given to the Associatiou, Applause. Mr. Sargent, of St. Louis, stated he had made negatives without a silver bath for the past two years, and was saving it to give to the Convention next year. Applause. The report of the Hoard of Trustees of the Relief Fund was called for. The Secretary stated that some two thousand dollars had been subscribed, but the Committee have not the power to appropriate any money until the end of four years But the fund exists, and is a reality, and when the time comes for dispensing it, it will have grown very large, and will be disposed of according to the regulations governing the Board of Trustees. The President appointed as the Gmmittee on Scovill and Holmes medals for the coming year, Messrs. A. M. Cllins, G. H. Fennemore. Albert Moore, John R. Clemons and A. K. P. Trask. Mr. Moore: Your Committee would like some instructions in regard to awarding medals. It may so happen no one may be worthy of the medal. We want to know whether we are to give a medal that we think no one deserves. Mr. Wilson: These medals are offered for the greatest improvement made in photography during the Association year past. If there is no great improvement made, why it is optional with the Committee to make the awrd or not. Mr. Webster made a few remarks on Patents, and read a letter from parties who had tried to collect royalty for the use of Hypo.
